Our denture warranty

Purchasing dentures is a significant investment, and we want you to feel confident in the quality of what we create for you. Our denture warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship across all dentures and relines handcrafted at Northern Rivers Denture Clinic. This warranty is provided in addition to any rights you have under Australian Consumer Law.

What our warranty covers

If your denture breaks, fractures, or loses a tooth or clasp as a result of defective materials or faulty workmanship, we will repair or replace it free of charge within the applicable warranty period.

What is not covered

Our warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship — it does not cover damage resulting from accidents, misuse or circumstances outside our control. Specifically, the warranty does not apply where:

  • the denture is accidentally dropped, broken, trodden on or lost
  • damage results from inappropriate use — including any use not endorsed by our prosthetists, or attempts to repair or clean the denture with non-prescribed substances or equipment
  • excessive wear, such as from teeth grinding, causes damage
  • prescribed oral hygiene or maintenance has been neglected
  • subsequent dental work by another provider compromises the denture fit or causes breakage — we may request a treatment plan from your dentist in these cases
  • a clasp is removed to accommodate a tooth addition, resulting in instability or fracture
  • loss of fit occurs due to significant weight loss
  • repairs, adjustments, additions or relines have been carried out by anyone other than Northern Rivers Denture Clinic
  • the annual recall examination has not been attended

Denture aesthetics — the appearance of your denture — are not covered by this warranty. Please see our Personal Satisfaction Guarantee for details on how we manage aesthetic outcomes.

Keeping your warranty valid

To maintain your warranty, you will need to attend your annual recall examination and keep up with any prescribed denture maintenance, including relines, within the relevant warranty period.

These appointments allow us to monitor your denture health and address minor issues before they become bigger ones. Your annual recall examination is free of charge.

Where a claim is unclear or supporting evidence is limited, we reserve the right to assess it at our discretion — we will always communicate our findings clearly and explain your options before any work proceeds.
